AeroPress Brewing 101: Tips, Tricks, and Techniques
The AeroPress is one of the most versatile and affordable brewing methods for making delicious coffee at home or on the go. This manual coffee brewer uses pressure to force hot water through ground coffee, resulting in a smooth, rich, and full-bodied cup. What You Need
- AeroPress (plunger, chamber, filter cap, scoop, stirrer-these are all included in the kit!)
- Kettle
- Paper filter
- Mug
- Your favourite Maison Dieu Coffee ground for AeroPress
How To Make
- Heat water to 85° C (if you don’t have temperature control just used regular boiled water).
- Place paper filter to the plastic filter and soak with water.
- Twist the filter to the bottom chamber of your Aero Press and place this over your mug.
- Add a full AeroPress Scoop (or 16-18 grams) of Maison Dieu ground coffee to the chamber and shake to even out the coffee
- Pour water to the number 3 (or lower if you would like it stronger)
- Stir gently with the stirrer and and insert the Plunger in 1/2 inches into the chamber, wait at least 60 seconds.
- Begin pressing the plunger gently (avoid applying too much force) until you hear a soft hissing sound- this indicated the air has pushed the final bit of brew through the coffee grounds.
