Pedal for Purpose: Our 100km Charity Cycle Recap...
We are thrilled to share the success of our recent sponsored cycle, “Pedal for Purpose.” This event brought together our community in a meaningful way, raising £2,880 for Motor Neurone Disease charities!
A Big Thank You
A heartfelt thank you goes out to Mont Vello for their unwavering support, all the amazing cyclists who pedaled their hearts out, and the generous donors who contributed to this worthy cause. A special shoutout to our very own Euan, whose dedication was so intense that it took us a while to pry the event photos from his hands. Better late than never, right? 🤣
The Day of the Ride
The event kicked off on a breezy morning as cyclists gathered in Brechin at 8:30 AM. Each participant started their journey with a free cup of our speciality coffee, the perfect fuel for the challenging 106km ahead. The ride featured several pitstops at our cafes and mobile coffee horsebox, with all profits directly benefiting our selected charities.
Pitstop Highlights
- Links Park (Montrose): A quick recovery stop and a group picture.
- Gayfield Park (Arbroath): Refreshments at our mobile coffee horsebox and preorders for food and drinks at Broughty Ferry.
- Maison Dieu (Broughty Ferry): A chance to rest, enjoy preordered refreshments and snacks, and relax at the waterfront.
- Station Park (Forfar): Another opportunity for refreshments at our horsebox.
- Glebe Park (Brechin): A brief stop for a group picture.
- Maison Dieu (Brechin): The finish line with food, drink, and a final group picture.
Looking Ahead
If you missed out on this ride, don’t worry! We’re planning another sponsored cycle later this year, hopefully under sunnier skies. Stay tuned for details on our next adventure.
